Notifications about Feedback

Many of your tutors will provide assessment feedback via Canvas. You will be able to access your feedback once your grade has been released. You should receive an email notification when your grades are released by default, and you can double-check this setting by visiting your notification settings.

If you haven't received notifications, make sure you haven't turned off the notifications for that particular course.

Open Course Notifications

In the course home page sidebar, click the View Course Notifications button.

Accessing your Feedback

To access feedback for an assignment you have submitted via Canvas, visit the Assignments page by using the course menu. Then select the assignment that has been graded. In the sidebar of the page you will be able to view your grade and any text comments your tutor has made.

To view your feedback in more detail, please click on the View feedback button, located below your grade.

From here, you'll be able to view any media comments your tutor has included, such as video or audio recordings.

If your tutors have given you feedback as an attached file, you can download it by clicking on View Feedback.

You can also leave comments for your tutor in response to the feedback you have been given if you wish.

Rubrics

You may also find that your tutors have used a rubric to grade your work. If this is the case, use the Show rubric link to view any comments or grades that have been awarded against the grading criteria for your assessment.

Viewing Annotations on your Work

If your tutor has left comments and annotations directly on your work, you can scroll down to view these. Your work and any annotations and comments will appear in a preview window.
