Uploading files into Canvas

Individual files:

You can upload individual files or groups of files:

Go to your Canvas course and click on Files.
At the top of the right-hand pane, you will see the options for uploading. Click on "Add Files". Select your files and open. You can also select a number of files and drag them into a Canvas file folder. Note that "Add Folder" here does not upload a folder, but allows you to create a new folder in Canvas for organizing files.

To add files to a module

On the Course Navigation menu, click Modules.
On the Modules page, select the module, and then click Add Items.
On the Add Item page, in the Add Box, click File.
Click New File, and then click Choose File.
Select the file to upload, and then click Open.
On the Add item page, select the folder to store the file. If you have not created folders in Canvas, the Course folder is the only option.
(Optional) Select a level of indentation.
Click Add Item.
